Hey everyone, Vancouver Radio, episode number 335, so today is a little bit of a different direction

for the show.

So about, it's probably about three or four months ago now I had the honor of being asked to do a talk at a local high school of mine, Kresgrave High School. I didn't go there myself, but my brother did and it was an

honor to be able to speak to 15, 16, 17 year olds to discuss with them their potential options and direction for the future.

So in the modern world we for me have way more opportunity than we think we do. You know industry and career

and the way we live our lives has changed a lot so you know don't get me wrong

the traditional industries still exist and always

will exist, you know, going to university, learning a trade, a skill, you know, studying and doubling

down on that. That will always be there there but it's not the only option and I see a lot of young people thinking

all I need to go to uni or the ideal is the going to uni and you know don't be wrong uni is a very expensive exercise

needs to be really well fought through and some people literally are sitting

there thinking well I don't know what to do and okay, I'll go to

you and I'll just maybe figure it out and you know maybe there's nothing wrong

in that but maybe there is I mean I have literally still not paid off my student debt and I graduated

in 2010. Anyway, I'm digressing. So this is a 35 minute talk that I did at Kesgrave High and what I wish for this

podcast is if you will share it with a young person that you think it can help.

This is the only reason I'm doing this

podcast and sharing this information because I wanted to help someone young. I

talk about my journey, my career, how I suss things out, the lessons that I've learned, kind of a mindset that I want

young people to take into their careers, and hopefully this will spur a lot of young people
