Summary

Can you get stronger by not lifting heavy weights? Yes, but how? I feel the strongest I have ever felt, and all my 1RM lifts have gone up in the gym, yet I'm not doing any traditional rep ranges in terms of my strength training, why is this? Hey everyone, Vancouver Radio, episode number 336.

0:04.7

So today is Monday's quick and cheeky show,

0:07.8

where I am going to be talking about getting strong

0:11.4

and getting, well, becoming a bad ass really

0:14.6

Andy Mackenzie is going to help me with this little show I've sent him what I've had to say

throughout the body.

0:58.2

I know Andy's been around my body for a while,

1:00.4

he's seen me move and he's probably well aware of my flaws in movement just

1:06.4

from having watched me a little bit so the programming becomes a lot easier because he does

1:10.8

do it remotely. Anyway the reason why I want to bring this topic up is because when we look at strength

1:16.8

training we are often very focused at lifting heavy things for not a lot of reps and while that is a component of

1:26.9

getting strong that is traditional strength training I want you to think about the whole body as a unit and how the body actually works.

1:37.0

Now there's a point in everyone's training journey and if you've been training quite a lot you will know this.
