This thing I'm going to talk about today is like something that's actually been coming up for me that I've found pretty fascinating.

And that is the way our subconscious mind tracks reality and particularly the good and bad qualities of like who people really are that we know.

You know, so we have a story about who everyone is, our parents, ourselves, our friends,

family, and so on and so on. And once that story is kind of formulated,

it's more difficult to change

because we have kind of defined a person

or we've defined ourselves.

And then generally, we are connected to, let's say, friends for a reason.

They provide us with something that could be friendship, it could be professional opportunities,

it could be some type of sounding board, feedback, some type of witness to our existence, you know,

name your, you know, sometimes just pure joy, you know, and that kind of goes in the

friendship category. Name your thing. They generally provide us for something. And so we often

to see the upsides of that.

And also in our relationship with ourselves,

we kind of have the same way of thinking.

We like to tell ourselves a story about who we are

and so forth and so forth

so that we can continue on following the narrative of who we think

we're supposed to be in the world.

And it's interesting is there have been many people, I mean not a ton, but there have definitely

been a lot, a large handful,

let's call it that, of people throughout my life that, you know, I always try and give everyone
