Yes, here we are again back looking at the Mishkan. Today we're going to be examining Exist 27 in conjunction with Day 3 of Creation.

Before we go any further Brent, let's just go ahead and read that third day of Creation. What's going on there?

This is the one that feels a little more normal. Day 2, it's like what do you mean separate water from water?

Because we don't think of the waters above us in that same way. It sounds like there's just this pool of liquid floating above.

But then day 3, it's like, okay, this makes sense. Water from land.

But then that is kind of how they thought of it.

No, no, no, for sure. But it's just, it seems like a weird concept to us. Whereas it's like, it's easy for us to visualize the separation of land from water.

I think.

That's probably just part of the demystification of being alive in the modern age is like, you know, if you're a pre-modern person,

just seeing water come out of the sky, like that's trippy.

Yeah, that's true.

I mean, I know the first time I saw snow, like that felt like such a, like, just weirdly mind blowing, just like this is insane.

This just comes out of the sky. What the heck?

Yeah, yeah. How to do that?

One more challenge in the attempt to get our minds into the minds of those who first heard these stories.

Okay.

And God said, let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear.

And it was so. God called the dry ground land and the gathered waters he called seas.

And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, let the land produce vegetation, seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit was seed in it,

according to their various kinds.
