This episode of Seriously Wrong is brought to you by either agitating yourself into a state of paralyzing paranoia or numbing yourself into a psychic callous.

0:13.0

We live in a terrifying, scary world, being watched constantly 24 hours a day seven days a week every minute of

0:23.0

every hour every action we take is recorded logged and stored in order to be

0:28.3

held against us and as a result of knowing that then extrapolating the worst

0:32.6

possible outcomes from it I have worked myself into a paralyzing paranoia. I've taken a little bit of a

0:40.6

different route. I think we have to ask the broad question, is it really so bad? Is there really so

0:44.6

1:35.5

reality square in the eyes, even if it means that I can no longer function as a normal person

1:41.4

day-to-day. For me, that day-to-day functioning is really important.

1:45.5

And so I've built a strategy that relies on not remembering things that were disclosed

1:51.0

with the nature of online surveillance, even while acknowledging in many ways it is true,

1:55.1

pretending that it's not true.

1:56.9

That works for me.

1:57.8

So obviously the two of us, we've got a lot of big differences on this.

2:01.2

But one thing we do agree on is there's only two options.
