Summary

We turned the conversation over to you and asked one powerful question: In what ways do you struggle with comparison? The overwhelming response was the realization that comparison shows up far more often than we think, especially around money, careers, bodies, relationships, and even our kids. putting my body under a surgery in order to have one of my insecurities, you know, not being insecurity anymore. It's a real thing. And you can look at somebody else and be like, oh, gosh, I wish I had. And I can guarantee you that she is looking at some part of you and being like, oh, I wish I had. And it could be part of your life. It could be part of a relationship. It could be part of the homes that you have. It could be part of a body. Looking at somebody else and wishing that you had part of their life. It could be part of a relationship. It could be part of the homes that you have. It could be part of a

body. Looking at somebody else and wishing that you had part of their life, it is just human nature.

It's something that happened. And I just want to keep on saying that. Oh, yeah. It is just so

obvious, but it can feel like you're the only one that's going to it.

Today we are going to do an episode all about comparison.

1:13.4

And we've done episodes like this in the past, but it was a pretty long time ago.

1:19.4

And so every time we revisit a topic, it's like we've lived a little bit more life.

1:24.8

And for this one, what we actually did is we went to you guys and we asked in which

1:29.9

ways do you really struggle with comparison. So we wanted to level set the conversation by giving

1:35.9

you guys a couple reminders that we think have been really helpful to us when it comes to

comparison. One thing that I just kept on coming up is that it can really speed you up. It's like when you're looking at somebody, it can speed up your decisions in things that we normally wouldn't be sped up in. And that can be a recipe for disaster because you're literally trying to use somebody else's blueprint for your own life. And it can be really, really hard. It's also so interesting because so many people said, I compare myself a lot more than I

2:02.5

thought. They're like, there's this and there's this and there's this. They're like, oh, it sounds so frivolous or I shouldn't even be saying this. And then their follow-up was, wow, I compare myself a lot more than I thought and I came in over and over again. And I do have to say, even reading the responses. There were so many in there that I'm like, wait a minute, I didn't even think

2:17.7

about that. And I do compare myself. Well, it's interesting because I think

2:21.2

it's kind of like when people say judging, like, you know, like I don't, I don't want to judge.

2:26.9

Not to judge. I'm not judging, but it's like comparison and judgment are human nature, in my opinion. But as we get into the episode,
