Hello and welcome to episode 31 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Hi, I'm John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor of Fantasy magazine and Lightspeed magazine

and of a bunch of anthologies about Wizards, zombies,

dystopian societies, vampires, Sherlock Holmes, and other cool stuff.

And I'm David Bar-Kirtley.

I'm the author of many short stories including Save Me Please about a college student who disappears after becoming obsessed with an online role-playing game.

The story appeared in Rich Hortons Anthology Fantasy the Best of the Year 2008 and also as episode 124 of the Escape Podcast.

And today on the show will be interviewing Chris Roberson.

His novels include End of the Century, Paragaya, A Planetary Romance, and X-Men The Return.

His short stories appear in magazines such as Asimov's and Interzone, and along with his spouse

Allison Baker, he's the publisher of Monkey Brain Books.

He's also written the comic book series Cinderella from

Papal Town with Love and I Zombie and he was recently selected to

complete the grounded story arc on the Superman monthly comic book,

a story that sees Superman walking across America in an attempt to reconnect with the people he protects.
