Hi, I'm John Joseph Adams. I'm the editor of several anthology such as

Wastelands in the Living Dead. My latest books are Brave New Worlds, The Way of the Wizard, and the Living Dead too.

And I'm also the editor of Light Speed magazine and Fantasy magazine.

And I'm David Barr-Kirtley. My short fiction appears in books such as new voices in science fiction and fantasy the best of the year.

And my newest stories are Cats in Victory and Lightspeed, The Skullface City in The Living Dead 2, and Family Tree in the Way of the Wizard.

And today on the show will be interviewing Jennifer Wallette. She's the author of three popular science books,

Black bodies and Quantum Cats, Tales from the Annals of Physics, The Physics of the Buffyverse,

and her most recent book, The Calculus Diaries, How Math Can Help You Lose Weight,

when in Vegas and survive a zombie apocalypse. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post,

Discover, Salon, Nature, and Physics Today, and She maintains a general science and culture group

blog called Cocktail Party Physics.

And for the past three years, she's been the director of the Science and Entertainment Exchange,

an initiative of the National Academy of Sciences aimed at fostering creative collaborations

between scientists and entertainment industry professionals.
