Yes, electricity is in the air, and not because of the downed power line on Cornwall Boulevard.

What I'm actually talking about is, Burger and Plum magazine has bestowed not one but

two prestigious nationwide awards on our sweet, quiet, seaside home of three pumpkins.

Firstly, we were honored to be named the best foodie town on the west coast for our bountiful buffets,

our fulsome feasts, and our generous portions of gin and tonic chicken, a local original.

But Burger and Plum saved its greatest accolades

for our fearless leader. Yes, Mayor Stuart Smarty was named Best Mayor in America. Of our town's

buoyant and boastworthy boss, the scribes at Burger and Plum wrote, if you're in three pumpkins,

you got to check out their mayor.

Problem is, Mayor Smarty is always on the go.

Luckily, fair readers, this watchful wordsmith managed to catch up with the much-lauded mayor

to discuss his plentiful plaudits.

So, Mayor Smarty, thanks for taking the time to sit down with me.

Tell me, what exactly does a mayor do?

You know, I just want to say it's great that you guys came out, and even though it's a profile
