Hey guys, well I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the person you're dating doesn't have your bag, you really need to stop wasting your time on them.

This is one thing that no matter what else you can say about the person

and no matter how many excuses you try to make for your involvement with them, if someone doesn't have your back, you really need to remove

them from your life.

When someone doesn't have your back, it feels really cheap, empty, and very surface level.

No, it doesn't make a difference if you have a lot of fun together.

It doesn't make a difference if they can make you laugh. It doesn't make a difference if you've known them for a long time.

If someone you're down for isn't truly down for you. You have nothing but a phony,

fair-wathered, and one-sided relationship. Or I'd probably say situation, chap.

Can you count on them to be there for you when the going gets tough?

It really is the most unsettling feeling when you feel unsupported and alone when you find yourself in a less than pleasant circumstance.

What if you're really upset? Does it seem like they couldn't be bothered? Or do they try to see you, take you out somewhere,

or call you on the phone to talk it through? Do they take action, in other words?

Would they stand up for you if you weren't in the room to defend yourself?
