And our film review this week. Our film review is The Long Walk. The Long Walk was released in 2025. It has 6.7 out of 10 on IMDB and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

A group of teenage boys compete in an annual contest known as the Long Walk,

in which they must maintain a certain walking speed or get shot. So this is another Stephen

King adaptation and as far as I'm aware he wrote it when he was like 18, which is mad. I'd be 18

years old and write something like this.

Now, I've not read it,

but I have to say watching this film did make me really want to read it because I know there are some differences between the film and the book,

as there inevitably often are.

And I think the ending of the film is slightly different than the book.

And I just really wanted to read the book

when I came away from this film, which I think is pretty high praise, right? And in this film,

right, these young men, they end up in a lottery to compete in the long walk. So I think the

implication is that it is voluntary, like you volunteer to do the long walk and you can withdraw

if you want,

but due to circumstances of like desperation, etc. lots of people volunteer for it. They end up in a

lottery and if you get picked, there are 50 young men who have to do this walk. And if they walk
