The Hello and welcome to mini episode 497 of real life ghost stories. And I have three spooky stories for you today. And the last story comes from the 9th of November 2025. And story number one comes from Tim. My experience is not a long one, but I thought I

would share it with you as it has stuck with me for nearly 20 years now, and I remember it like it was

yesterday. It happened back in November 2007, in a quintessential sleepy little village in West Sussex in

England. I had just married my wife in September, and we are still living in our Victorian

semi-detached house. My mother-in-law, Peru, was very unwell with bone cancer and was living

with us at the time of my and actually

her experience too. We had turned our living room into a bedroom for Prue as she could no longer

get up the stairs to her bedroom. Her bedroom door was at the foot of the staircase where there was a

very small landing area. Opposite her door was the door to our kitchen dining room

and another door going off into the hallway leading to the front door.

One evening I was sitting in the dining area in my armchair watching TV.

Prue was in bed in her living room, bedroom, resting.

It was only two of us in the house that evening as my wife was out.

I'm not sure what time it was,

but I noticed a dark figure out of the corner of my eye, walk from the small landing area and into the hallway. Immediately thinking this was Prue getting out of bed to go and use the loo in the hallway,

I jumped up fast to go and make sure she was okay and getting there,

and she was very frail and weak. But when I got to the doorway, I found myself staring at

Prue in her bed, and she was staring right back at me. I said to her, I thought you had gone to

the loo. Did you see what I just saw? To which she replied, yes, a figure moving in the hallway. I quickly

went into the hallway and turned the lights on, checked the loo, the laundry room, the garage,

no sign of anyone. The back door was locked and no one had left through the front door as all
