The Hello and welcome to me in episode number 496 of real life ghost stories.

And I have one spooky story for you today.

And our story comes from the 31st of October 2025.

And our story comes from Mick Jen and all seven kids.

In the fall of 2012, my wife Jen and I were desperately looking for a new home. We were a

Brady Bunch family and we both had kids from our previous marriages. Jen, my gorgeous wife, is a perfect blend of Irish

Italian heritage with deep brown eyes like a Roman goddess and curly dark hair. On the day that

this story takes place, she was glowing and heavily pregnant with our twins. We were hoping to

find a home in time to move before the twins arrived,

but twins have a tendency to come early, and we didn't know exactly how much time we had.

We needed a home big enough for the whole blended family. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a priority.

We were early adopters of working from home, so we were hoping to have office space or a basement attic garage that we could turn into an office space.

We weren't too picky about location. We were resigned to driving the kids to their current schools no matter where we ended up.

We got a call from Gemma, our Howard Hanna realtor, late one Friday afternoon.

She had a house that checked all of our boxes and wanted to show it to us before it hit the market.

I don't want to say exactly where the house is, but if you know where Century the Third Mall was, then you know the area I am talking about.

I picked Jen up from work, dropped the kids at Granny's house and drove out to meet Gemma.

We got to the house a few minutes before Gemma.

It was a big brick mid-century monstrosity with a driveway that led to a three-car garage.

Babe, there is no way we can afford this house,'

Jen whispered, ducking down to peer up at the house through the windshield.
