On today's episode of the Shameless Mom Academy, we're talking to Hallie Bach. So I met

Halley through my husband. They were co-workers many, many years ago. And actually,

Holly and I've never met in person because they were co-workers long before my husband and I met.

But my husband recently sent me an article that Hallie wrote on Passion versus Purpose, and I knew as soon as I read the article, I had to have her on the show.

I also really wanted to have Hallie on the show because her family dynamic is one that we have

not yet shared within the Shameless Mom Academy. So we've talked with Jen Briggs about being a stepmom.

We've talked with Jillian Mitchell about foster adoption. We've talked with Misty Moseco about being a single mom. We've talked about

all these different ways that families can be made up. And today we have a new family dynamic

that I'm excited to hear about and just hear someone's experience with. And what I love about

hearing all these different family stories is that

it really is this day and age, you get to choose how to create your family and how to build your

family. And this is so different than two generations ago. It's not just like you meet someone at a

certain age and you get married and have as many children as possible. It's really, really shifted

in the last couple generations. And I love seeing, I was a sociology

major, so I love studying family dynamics. I love studying group dynamics and cultural dynamics.
