So today, in continuation on our mini series of three truths, every divorce Christian needs

to know, today we're talking about truth number two, which is God calls for forgiveness

and kindness.

What a hard topic that we're going to be talking about today, Dr. Kim.

Yeah, it is a hard topic because it's like when you think about divorce and the pain and

the anger and everything goes with it and you say forgiveness and kindness.

Yeah.

It's like those don't feel real well, you know?

I really don't.

It is very countercultural, that's for sure.

So Dr. Kim, why do we have to forgive our ex spouse, though?

Okay, I'm going to say this, but listen to everything I say, God says so is all you have to do it.

But the reason God said so is he knows this, he created us, he made us, he knows what unforgiveness does to us.

And I have been around people that have held unforgiveness in their heart against the next.

I've got a fan. I don't work with the ex-parents, but I've worked with their kids.

They have been divorced probably 15 years. They still have this unforgiveness toward each other.

And they still put their kids in the middle. And the pain that that continues to cause is unbelievable.

So when God says you've got to forgive, the reason why is he knows what it does does if we

don't. And I know, and I think if you're in that position, really what you begin to do with
