I want to tell you an incredible story about a little girl named Liz.

Back in the 1980s, her dad left when she was six years old.

Her mom was working day and night just to care for the family, very difficult. Her mom had two jobs.

Well, when Liz heard that, something went off in her and she thought,

money, for me to go to college, get a job. I'm going to win this trip and take Mama now.

Well, Liz went to the apartment complex. She joined the Girl Scouts. She went door to door

knocking on as many doors as she could asking if they want to buy a box of cookies. Well,

the manager got so many complaints

because if people turned her down, Liz would go back the very next day and ask again. Would

you like to buy a box of cookies? Finally, the manager called Liz's mom and said, honey, tell

your daughter she cannot go door to door anymore. We are getting so many complaints. He said, but here's what I'll do. She can set up a little booth in the foyer. So she did. She set up a booth and found out this works better. They had to pass her to get to the elevator. So after school, every day she would set up a little booth, she would press her little uniform and sell her cookies.
