December 3rd. South Korean President Yun Sukyol says he will lift his declaration of martial

law after Parliament unanimously voted to block the decree. In a surprise late-night address, he claimed

the move was necessary to protect the country

from what he called the danger of North Korean forces, and he accused the opposition
