0:00.0	Hello there. My name is Tyler Griffin and this is Scripture Study Insights by Scripture Central.
0:07.0	Today, 3 Nephi, chapters 8 through 11.
0:11.0	This particular chapter is, or set of chapters, especially when you get to chapter 11,
0:17.0	is sometimes referred to as a symbolic Holy of holies in the book of Mormon, because we have
0:26.1	been looking forward to his coming to the manifestation of Jesus Christ in the flesh, the
0:33.7	resurrected Lord, coming to these people for 420, 25 pages up to this point, and now we finally
0:44.2	get the veil to be parted and the Son of God to descend and begin his ministry among the
0:52.8	Nephites and Lamanites. So it's important to note that we're
0:57.8	treading on very sacred ground here in these chapters. And the lifelong learning overlay
1:06.1	that I wanted to kind of use as an approach to these four chapters is taken from a statement by President
1:16.5	Russell M. Nelson when he said this, I plead with you now to take charge of your own testimony
1:26.4	of Jesus Christ and His gospel.
1:30.5	Work for it, nurture it so that it will grow. Feed it truth. Don't pollute it with false
1:37.5	philosophies of unbelieving men and women. As you make the continual strengthening of your
1:43.7	testimony of Jesus Christ, your
1:45.2	highest priority, watch for miracles to happen in your life. And the reality is, is life, your testimony
1:56.0	could be diagrammed in a variety of ways. There are ups and downs along the path of life. There are
2:05.1	high points of revelation and low points of frustration and discouragement, maybe even depression
2:11.2	at times, where you feel like you're struggling to believe. But you'll notice in this particular depiction there's
2:19.2	a general upward trend. In our scripture block today, you will find that the people
2:28.3	have really been struggling in their belief in and willingness to follow the Lord based on what we covered
2:38.6	last week in 3rd Nephi 1 through 7, especially in chapters 6 and 7 leading up to the
