Hello, welcome back to Scripture Central. I'm Lynn Hilton Wilson.

And I'm Jack Welch, and we're so glad that you're here, you're being so diligent and following through.

We're now entering the fourth quarter.

We're in 3rd Nephi, chapter 8 through 11.

These are the wonderful chapters that talk about the hours of the Lord's death and the horrific destructions,

and then over the time, the coming of the Lord.

And then next week, and the next week we'll stay in Third Nephi for three weeks.

And we're actually now at the beginning of the fourth quarter of this Come Follow Me year.

And, you know, I always like to say when I'm watching football or baseball or whatever, it really gets exciting in the fourth quarter.

And, you know, it's finally coming down to the last play and what's going to happen and how will it work out.

And here in these chapters for today. it is exciting. And we have in chapters

eight to 11, the contrast of first of all, three chapters of horrific ultimate destruction.

And people not knowing what is going to happen. Now, it had been prophesied that these things would occur,

but there wasn't a lot said about how they're going to recover from this. It's always worse when

you have to endure it yourself. Yes, it's horrific. It's absolutely worse than they can imagine.

And it's hard to imagine living through that. And then the contrast

in chapter 11. When our Savior's voice is heard and comes down. Personally there. And the relief of

that alone would have been amazing, but it's much more than just, wow, we got through that game.

You know, it is such an eternal, powerful, and unusual experience.

Nothing like it had ever been experienced before.

Here we'll encounter natural disasters and also continuing chaos, and eventually the vindication of centuries

of Nephite prophecies. Of course, Mormon has this record in front of him, but he makes a point
