Summary

These 3 goals can actually be achieved by those striving for balance in 2019. It’s that time of year when everyone is thinking about and making New Year resolutions. Are you a resolution-maker? How good are you at keeping your new year commitments? This week, I want to encourage you to set small goals (you do not have to call them resolutions) in 3 different areas of your life. Rather than focusing on large and lofty goals, I think it’s helpful to consider small changes that are doable in different areas of your life. For the full shownotes, including a list of resources I mention in the episode, go to ascensionpress.com/girlfriends (https://media.ascensionpress.com/category/ascension-podcasts/girlfriends/) and click on this episode.

Hey, girlfriends. How are you? Welcome to the Girlfriends Podcast. I'm so glad to be back with you after the holidays in a new year, 2019. Here we go. How are your holidays? I missed you guys. It was hard, actually, to be disconnected from you, but also nice in a lot of ways to take a break. I worked ahead a little bit and then took

1:01.6

a couple of weeks off, so it feels like even longer since I've connected with you guys here

1:06.2

through the podcast. And I love our regular connection. So thanks for being here.

1:12.3

Thanks for giving me the little bit of time off. And I heard from a few of you sending me little notes. And I appreciate all of the

1:17.6

holiday greetings that you sent my way. And I give it right back at you. I hope you had

1:22.0

wonderful holidays and are adjusting back to schedules of school and work. Here, we've got still big kids who are home

1:30.7

from college, so we're not quite back into our regular routine, but those, the rest of us,

1:35.7

Schleps, are going back to work, back to school. And we're back in the new routine for a new year.

1:41.7

And that's what I wanted to talk about this week is resolutions.

1:46.3

Did you make New Year's resolutions? How are you doing with them? Do you make New Year's resolutions?

1:50.9

I was talking with a few people over New Year's about making New Year's resolutions. And I kind of have a mixed

1:55.8

feeling about resolutions. And that's why I'm actually recording this podcast because I love the

2:00.6

idea of a

2:01.6

fresh start at a new year. I love it in September when the school year starts. I love it at the
