Good morning, my friends, good afternoon, whatever time of day it is for you.

Welcome to the morning mindset.

It is time for us to start out our day by getting our mind aligned with the truth of God so that we're on the right

trajectory for the entire day

And of course we may have to do a reset on this sometime during the day.

But it's important nevertheless that we start the day this way.

Getting ourselves thinking like God thinks

so that our beliefs and our actions can flow out of that well spring of truth.

We are in 2 Peter chapter 2 and we're trying to wrap up a section here where Peter is

describing false profits.

And I want to read this last section of chapter 2,

versus 17 through 22, uninterrupted,

because I want you to put yourself in a place where you're thinking about

false teachers

According to the descriptions that Peter's giving now let's stop for a moment and let's remind ourselves we live in a culture that doesn't like to

cast any kind of shade on someone else. We don't want to be negative towards someone else

because we feel like others might see

us as a negative person or as a critical person or as a condemning person. We hear it

all the time in the phrase, don't judge judge and you see that's a twisting I would

say even a false teaching of scripture to connote that we should never judge

what we see going on in someone else's lives or someone else's behavior.

And so I want to warn you against that as we listen to this passage because Peter pulls out
