Good morning my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. My name is

Carrie Green. I'm here to help you get your mind aligned with the truth of God so that you can have a chance of living this day

according to his will. You see as we think what he thinks about the situations that we face, we're able to face them with his

strength, with his wisdom, with his power through the Holy Spirit of God. And we do that

by getting our minds aligned at the very outset of the day.

Most recently we have been studying the book of 2 Peter and we have moved on to chapter 3 today

and Peter is explaining many of the things that we should be expecting to see happen

in our world.

And I can't think of a topic more relevant than what he's going to bring up today.

In chapter 3 he begins this way.

He says, this is now the second letter that I'm writing to you beloved.

In both of them, I'm stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder that you should

remember the predictions of the Holy Profits and the commandment of the Lord and

Savior through your Apostles knowing this first of all that scoffers will come in the

last days with scoffing, following their own simple desires.

They will say, where is the promise of his coming?

For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning creation

For they deliberately overlook this fact that the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and

threw water by the word of God and that by means of these the world that then

existed was deluged with water and perished.

But by the same word, the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being

kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
