Hey good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are

ready to get your mind aligned with the truth of God and I especially hope today

as my mom used to say,

you've got your thinking cap on.

Hi mom, I hope you're listening today.

She would say that, telling us, kind of warning us ahead of time

that we're about to think about something with her

that's pretty deep and requires some concentration and focus.

So I hope that's where you're at today.

If not, you know, your head take a deep breath

push things out of your mind whatever you need to do to focus because Peter's going to go a little deep right now

into some theology. Now don't let that word intimidate you. Theology just is

Latin it means the study of God so to speak. So that's all we're doing. We're

studying God which is an incredibly deep and can be intimidating subject because he's the infinite God.

And so we can't imagine we're going to understand everything about him,

but we can understand some things more than we do.

And Peter's going to teach us here.

He's going to teach us about some very interesting concepts, the concept of prophecy, and the concept of the

trustworthiness of scripture. And those are very practical topics for us to get under our belts because when we understand

what scripture is and why it's trustworthy, we have a resource at our disposal that is able to help us in life beyond anything

else I can imagine, other than Jesus himself in the form of his Holy Spirit who lives

through us.
