Welcome back my friends. It is time for the morning mindset. I am thankful you were

here. I've been getting quite a few emails from people recently just telling me how you found the morning

mindset how it's impacting your life I love hearing those stories not to stroke my

own ego but to rejoice in what God is doing in your life through his word because that

is really what the mourning mindset is aimed to do is to point out the truths of the

word of God to us so that we can then believe them and see our lives transformed as a result.

So my friends keep that in mind as we go through the scriptures today.

This word of God that we hold in our hands that we

listen to that we read is powerful when we believe it. And Peter is really

making that point in the verse we're looking at today.

We are in 2 Peter, chapter 1, verse number 18.

And Peter is pointing out how his experiences were actually part of the fulfillment of the prophecies about the Messiah.

I mean Peter got to be a part of it.

He got to see it happen in his own world as he walked with Jesus and watched him do the miracles

that he did.

And Peter points out that we would do well to pay attention to what he's telling us.

Because it's like a man who has a cure for cancer,

pointing cancer victims to that cure.

That's what Peter sees himself doing, is that those of us who are in such desperate need

of salvation from sin and empowerment for living are being pointed to the very source of both of those things in Jesus Christ.

And he's saying you should pay attention to this.

Don't let it fall on deaf ears.
