On today's episode of Strictly stalking, we're speaking with Anne,

a survivor who endured relentless stalking and harassment from her ex-partner.

She turned to the police, social services, even family court, yet every system that was supposed to protect her failed.

Labeled not high risk enough, Anne was left in limbo while the threats and control never stopped even after she left the relationship.

Now Anne is speaking out to warn others to expose the timeline that can escalate to Femmicide and to demand urgent change for survivors and their children.

Thank you for having me.

Yeah, childhood was tough and I think set me up for the choices and the things that came later.

I'm in England. I grew up in the north of England. My dad is English, but my mom was actually from the US. She met my dad while he was

over there on holiday, and then they got married, and she moved over. Sadly, it turned out that

she actually had very severe schizophrenia

that got worse after I was born. So my very earliest memories are her being very violent,

very distressed. She was eventually sectioned when I was about three or four years old, I think.

She had a knife at my dad's throat in the kitchen, and so the ambulance came, took her away.
