By that point, you know, as soon as he started coming over, I knew, okay, this is the time to go to the iron and get the, you know, scissors.

I've locked up all the other, you know, sharp objects and only have this one scissors and the iron.

And I just hold them both up and I said it's time for you to leave.

And he gets really mad when he sees the iron and the scissors.

On today's episode of Strictly stalking, we're speaking with Rebecca,

who spent 33 terrifying weeks being stalked by a fellow student in her college acting class.

Her story was filled with red flags and escalating threats,

but instead of protection, Rebecca was dismissed. Title IX officials minimized her concerns and her attempts to seek justice left her isolated and bullied. The trauma followed her long

after the stalking ended. Struggling with PTSD, she was repeatedly denied support

as a non-relationship stalking survivor.

Why don't you tell us a little bit about your childhood

and how moving around shaped who you are today?

Well, we moved around a lot,

and it kind of made me more adaptable, I guess.

So I was born in Chicago.

We moved to Montreal when I was a three.

And we came back to the states to Indiana when I was 11.

And then we went to another Midwestern state when I was in high school and college.

So I have one sister and she's two years younger than me.

So we're pretty close.
