Delbout. Today's guest is the creator of the literary magazine One Word, which is a collection

of works from notable creative writers about their personal interpretation of one word.

And the first issue, that word was perception, and in the most recent issue, that word is

influence.

And the creator of this magazine is on the podcast today, Jacob Marin.

And I met Jacob through his mom, actually.

She happens to be one of my favorite writers ever,

Danny Shapiro, who will someday be a guest on this podcast. But if you aren't familiar with

Danny Shapiro's work, you will get to know her a little bit in this episode, and I highly

recommend all of her books, many of which are memoir, and therefore Jacob is a character in them, which we touch on a little bit in this episode.

But we also talk about what it was like to grow up with two creative people writers as parents, how he developed his own literary taste.

As my youngest guest, we talked a little bit about the differences generationally,

especially with social media.
