Summary
In today's episode, Emily is in St. Louis for 1st Phorm's Summer Smash and she's taken the show on the road with her! She is sitting down with Bobby Maximus who is a fellow 1st Phorm athlete, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, UFC vet, IBJFF World Master Champ, Men's Health Best Selling author, The Ultimate Fighter season 30 alum, husband and father. The two jump immediately into an incredible experience Bobby went through where he almost lost his life. He learned he had an antibiotic resistant gut disease and was told by doctors to do certain things that weren't helping. He decided to take a different route and it ended up saving his life and since then he's made some changes to his lifestyle in order to stay in the best health he possibly can. Bobby shares about losing his father at a young age and how it affected his life. They also talk a lot about failure, success and Bobby explains why he loves failure. He shares that some of the most successful people of our time have also failed tremendously and we should embrace failure because it is a huge part of life and helps us more than we know. And you can't talk about failure without also talking about regret, so the two discuss how to deal with regret in life. Bobby shares what made him go back into the UFC as the oldest competitor in it's history and it's a story that will inspire you to take immediate action on something you've been dreaming about doing.
