Hey there and good to have you today on the Beginners Garden podcast. If you are thinking about growing

Today I'm going to be talking about three potato experiments, well, maybe four technically, that I did this year. And I wanted to share with

you the results because I was trying lots of different things this year so that I could hopefully

get more of a potato harvest than I have in the past. Now, you may recall from last year's episode

at about this time, I talked about planting potatoes in the raised

beds versus in the ground and how that experiment went, and we will link that episode in the show

notes. But this year, I tried multiple additional experiments, and a lot of them were based

on the podcast episode that I did with Jim

Gerritsen of Wood Prairie Family Farms. They sell certified organic disease-free seed potatoes.

And those episodes, we split it into two in March of this year because they were so

packed with information, but those episodes were probably one of the most

commented on episodes of the year in 2022. So a lot of the stuff that he shared with me in those two

episodes I've put into practice this year. And so I wanted to share with you like how did it

work, the things that I did, the things that I experimented with.

I'm going to tell you exactly when I planted,

what I planted, and what the results were,

and then how I'm potentially going to adjust things

for next season.
