Hey you guys, it is the week of Christmas and I could not be more excited to share with you this podcast today.

I feel like it's the perfect timing because, number one, it's almost Christmas.

And so we're probably thinking a lot about food just about now, what kind of dinner we're going to have and what we're going to cook and that kind of thing.

Plus, if you're anything like me, then after Christmas, your wheels are going to be spinning

with garden planning ideas. So for those two reasons, I don't think that there is a more perfect

time to share this podcast episode with you. We are welcoming back Jim Garrison from Wood Prairie

Family Farm. They are a certified,

organic, disease-free potato farm in Maine, and they sell these seed potatoes for gardeners like

us to be able to grow. We had Jim on the podcast in March, so this may sound familiar to you.

We actually had him on for two episodes because he gave

such great information on growing potatoes. We ended up having to split it into two episodes. And I have to

say, I don't know that I've had this much response from a podcast guest as we had from Jim. It was so good.

I think there's a lack of information in general

on how to grow potatoes well,

and who better to teach us than a farmer

who has made his living for decades growing potatoes.

But today's episode is actually gonna be a little bit different.

It's not gonna talk as much about growing potatoes because we already did that back in March.

Instead, we're going to focus on how to decide which potatoes to grow.

You guys, this was mind-blowing to me because for so many years, I just grew what I had available

and I didn't realize what options there were.

And I didn't realize how I could grow different potatoes depending on how we use them in the kitchen.
