0:21.5	had with Scott Allen, we can't really make these distinctions and preach the gospel and help people
0:28.7	discern the counterfeits if words are constantly changing and especially if words that are
0:34.9	defined in the Bible. In other words that God has spoken and given definitions for, if we allow those words to be redefined in our culture, words like authority, faith, truth, beauty, freedom, human, we are going to be believing counterfeit Gospels if we allow those
0:59.6	words to be redefined from the definitions that God has given. That's why this conversation
1:04.2	I just had with Scott Allen about his new book, 10 words to heal our broken world. Restoring
1:09.1	the meaning of our most important words, was so fascinating
1:12.5	to me because we talked about first starting with that word truth.
1:17.3	We've talked about that a lot on this podcast, how redefining the word truth would affect
1:21.7	how we even think about the rest of these words that our culture has kind of co-opted
1:26.1	and redefined to mean something entirely
1:28.4	different. And some highlights of this conversation for me was really as Scott was talking
1:32.6	through some of these words, how the world has taken words that God meant to be good ones,
1:37.6	like truth, like authority, faith, and actually kind of turned them into negative things.
1:44.0	And in other cases with words like
1:46.2	freedom, you know, not every way the Bible talks about freedom is necessarily positive. Yes,
1:52.2	we are set free, but that doesn't mean we're free to just do whatever we want to do. And yet our
1:56.4	culture would redefine it in that way. Really, really powerful conversation. I thought this was so
2:02.3	clarifying. I think it's going to equip you so, so much. Scott has written some really great
2:07.2	books, why social justice is not biblical justice, is one that he wrote a few years ago. He's got
2:12.4	one called a toxic new religion, understanding the postmodern neo-Marxist faith that seeks to destroy the Judeo-Christian
