Right. Okay, Betsy, I'm so excited to talk to you today. I, my daughter and I got to watch you on YouTube last week it was thrilling was it

last week or two weeks ago yeah last week last week yeah it was so fun but for

anyone who is not familiar with you can you tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do?

Yeah, I'm Betsy Flint and I play Beach Volleyball professionally for Team USA internationally and then on the AVP which is a domestic tour and I'm also a mom to a three year old so between the two I'm super busy just trying to be my best in both areas.

Yeah, well that's amazing and I feel like you totally downplayed how incredible you are as an athlete like I mean you mentioned

professional athlete but you have on your Instagram profile right now that you are

an Olympic hopeful can you tell me about that what does? What does that mean and what does it look like currently?

Yeah, we have been competing around the world.

Over a year and a half is the Olympic qualification process and

your best 12 finishes.

So it's being down to the end here we will be the third team

out of all the US teams and we only get two teams in the Olympics.

So unfortunately we'll be alternates for the Olympics.

We had a really like just crazy, wild, fun year last year competing in a ton of tournaments,

dealing with adversity. My partner had really bad injury, but we just had to keep pushing and

pushing. And then towards World Championships,

we got a ninth, which is great in World Championships,

but our other two teams had done well,

so we kind of knew we weren't going to make it and it was a good time for her to go through some

knee surgeries and some recovery so yeah it was a grind but yeah an amazing experience just all so hard to be away as a mom too and

when we're going to these tournaments we're gone for a week sometimes two or three depending on if they're back to back.

So I think that's one of the biggest challenges now
