What does God do in the lives of a human being?

How should we understand our relationship with him?

You see, we don't define that relationship. He's the Creator. We're the

creature. We are submitted to his authority. We're to lead our lives in

reverent fear, the scripture says, with a holy respect, a deference to the Creator.

We don't dictate to him, we try to understand his character so that we can live within the expressions of grace that that character makes available to us.

It is futile to rage against God.

We're working through a series about leading with faith. I think we have a need for leaders in our nation. Not celebrities, not elected officials. We need

people of character that understand that the cornerstone of effective leadership is character, not talent, not resources, not celebrity, not a platform, but character. You don't need an audience, you need to have a character

that's such that people care about your opinion. You don't need a stadium filled

with people to do that. The people who do life with you need to imagine that you're trustworthy, that you're filled with integrity.

When you give your word you mean it.

If you will begin to become that person, we will see the leadership

gap in our nation be closed quickly. Don't compromise your integrity for an opportunity.

Don't compromise your integrity for the pursuit of pleasure.

Don't compartmentalize your life into a church attitude or a church set of behaviors and another set of behaviors when you're someplace else.
