I am your host Terry Cole.

Super excited for you to be with me today. I wonder how many of you are

widows or widowers. How many of you have lost partners? Because my husband was a widow er, I think it was a man, you're an er,

Victor was widowed when I met him,

and he was left with a five a three and a nine month old he had three

sons he was only 29 years old when his beautiful wife Donna died of cervical cancer

so by the time I came in which was quite a long time later,

maybe 12 years later I think. The boys were 16, 13, and 12, I think, 14, and 12, something like that.

And so I was really interested in learning

about how to create a blended family.

Every family has a different way of being.

I felt like Vic was pretty healthy

in the way that he handled and still honored Donna, but he had a not good second situation

or he had different women in his life who didn't want him to have pictures of Donna

around the regular part of the house.

So when I came in, I said, why are there no pictures of Donna and the boys in like the common areas of the house?

I saw that the boys had them in their bedrooms, but I didn't see any and he said, oh, I had an ex who didn't like that or whatever.

Which of course I thought was insane because why would you be threatened by a dead person?
