I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of Jackson, Mississippi.

Small talk sucks, so let's dive in. 28 year old Heather Spencer was fiercely independent loyal to her bones and

stunningly beautiful. Growing up she was extremely close to her little brother

Anne, her parents, and her grandmother Mary.

There was nothing more important to Heather than family, which is probably why she loved

the holidays so much.

She loved the fall and winter seasons. There was just something so peaceful about it.

Maybe it was the changing leaves, maybe it was her grandma's deviled eggs, or maybe it was just the fact that everyone was

chasing happiness at that time of year, but that's what Heather did every single day of her life.

Heather was one of those people that didn't half-ass anything. She worked hard in college,

getting a degree in business, then established a career with Wells Fargo,

handling financing. She set strong goals for herself and by 26 years old she'd bought her own house and her best friend who we're going to call Emma moved in.

They were living their best single lives rocking out to Dave Matthews together,

trying out new recipes, and making their own jewelry.

But then something happened.

Heather fell in love.

Heather's job at the bank involved working with car dealerships in the area. In doing that, Heather worked a lot with a man named George Bell the third who co-owned a dealership called

I. W Motors. One day in 2005 George asked Heather out on a date and the rest is kind of

history. George was from a wealthy well-to-do family and his

dealership seemed to be thriving. Because he was doing so well financially, it was nothing for him to shower

Heather with gifts, flowers, and cars.
