but it's Thursday, which means that it's bonus episode day and a little bit of break,

and we're going to do a Q&A because you guys are amazing and you ask really fun questions.

So, Small Talk does suck, even though this whole episode's going to be Small Talk.

Music does suck, even though this whole episode's going to be small talk. Let's dive in anyways. The first question is from the Facebook group and it's from Gabby, and it says, at CrimeCon,

you mentioned your dad was a detective. Do you ever talk to him about cases? So back in the day,

my dad was a homicide detective. He also worked in vice and all of that. He now works for a state agency,

where he has detectives that work for him. I do every now and then talk to him about cases. I talk to him a lot more about

the work that I do outside of the podcast. However, I do. I have run it by him sometimes.

Sometimes just like in conversation because I want to hear what he thinks.

And other times I just want to know about policy and procedure, something like that,

what he would have done in this scenario.

I also have done that with Kyle as well because he was a police officer.

But yeah, we talk about it sometimes.

I think most of our conversations wind up being about my work outside of the podcast,

which is still in

kind of the same ish realm, is. I don't know. I try and be like pretty vague about it, which probably

sounds, I don't know, do she. I don't know. But I do try and keep them separate. But yeah,

he has the wealth of information. So yeah, I do talk

about it sometimes. My dad is going to be coming to CrimeCon 2025 and I'm going to have him sit at the

table and it's going to be amazing because if you think heatherisms are oiled, I learned from him.
