So for the best part of this week French farmers have been engaged in what they're

calling the siege of Paris. They've encircled the capital city, blocking all of the key motorways and although there are many

specific demands in France it's quite clear that this is part of a Europe wide

revolt of farmers of people who work in agriculture and also various

other kind of more material industries.

Jacob, I mean you all have seen some of these people in Brussels as well.

Tom and I have met with farmers in Berlin.

It's happened in Holland, it's happened in Ireland.

What do you think ties all these farmers protests together?
