a rock chick writer extraordinaire, Miss Leslie and Jones. Miss Jones, I am coming to you as I've just been listening to the plan for new legislation to stop people altering their own bodies and their own body images because young people are actually defacing themselves. That's not the right word,

is it? What do you do when you change your body appearance and make yourself look worse?

You know, pout lips and all that kind of stuff.

Well, you disfigure yourself. Thank you. The very word. There you are. There you are.

The word smith again, stripes like white hot heat. No, seriously, I've just been listening to debate about, I mean, do you think

that's fair in life? You can say to somebody you mustn't go around, you know, pumping up your lips,

you mustn't go around filling your head full of Botopts, you mustn't go around having collagen sucked out

your body. Surely it's your decision, isn't it?

I can't see how when we've come so far down that line and people are doing

so much to themselves to alter their appearance and the way they feel, which is more to the point.

I don't see how we can legislate against that now. How do you give that or not give it, but not do

do anything about it, and then suddenly lay down the law. No, I totally agree.

But I do feel sorry for these poor girls who, just to improve their looks,

pump stuff into their lips and literally the trout lip and all that,

but it can disfigure them for life.

So I suppose if you can, you know, stop them from hurting themselves.

But again, to me, you know, it's the nanny state all over again.

If you don't give people responsibility for their own lives in one direction, try and take it away

from them, they'll just start thinking all the time, oh, well, you know, the country will look after

this. Oh, I can get this tax free and all that kind of stuff. Anyway, look, it's a much bigger... Well, it is a bigger subject, but I think that what we do need to legislate against
