What is going on, everyone? Welcome to another episode of the fit, healthy, and most of all,

0:05.1

happy podcast. I'm your coach and host Josh here with his co-host and co-coach KG and I'm in the

0:11.9

house. And today we're going to give you 10 key tips to get started for your summer body

0:17.6

transformation. We know summer is right around the corner and we want to give you

0:21.2

10 actionable high level tips to really help you jump start your journey. We're going to jump right

0:26.8

into this episode with number one. So number one is to have a rough end date and game plan for after

0:33.4

your cut or whatever it may be to tighten up for summer. So generally not many of us go, hey, I'm really trying to bulk up for summer. You know, of course, some people want to add lean muscle. But generally, when you think of summer, you think, okay, less clothes. I'm going to be at the beach. I'm going to do a little bit of a shred, you know, whether that be a couple pounds, whether that be 20 pounds, whatever it may be, right? We want to tighten up.

0:54.3

We want to look our best. We want to have things popping. We want to get in great shape. You know, and I find usually March is that time where people get a little bit hungry. You know, they know it's coming up and they're like, okay, it's time to make this change. The birds are chirping, the sun's out. All these incredible things are happening so what's really important one

1:11.4

thing i found is i've made the mistake of starting my cut far too early you know i've started before in

1:16.8

february january and what would end up happening is i'd end up finishing around april you know just before

1:23.1

things got warm and then you know at that point it'd be hard to maintain it because you want to be in a

1:28.0

deficit you know continually for no reason you know especially if you only want to do five to 10 pounds

1:33.3

you know if you're looking to do a rate of two pounds a week that should be about five weeks you

1:37.7

could you could account for a diet break in there take six weeks you know different things like

1:41.9

that but by actually having a set, hey, this is when I'm

1:44.4

starting. This is when I want to be done. This is the starting weight I have. This is the way to I want to finish with. And actually planning it out that way, it makes it a lot more realistic. And you don't feel like you're doing it for eternity. And it's more calculated and not as random. I love it, man, and even just to add on, you know, depending on how much you have to

2:02.5

lose, like you may very well have to give yourself 12 to 16 weeks. Like obviously, that's what kind of

2:08.1

people do for like bodybuilding shows and stuff like that. But if you're someone who has quite a bit to

2:12.4

lose, like really, I'm a huge fan of allowing for a little bit more time. But I do find that what Josh was saying

2:18.2

and having that actual game plan for afterwards kind of goes into number two. And I've made a

2:23.4

mistake myself. I know Josh has made mistakes here and there. We've all made mistakes. You know,

2:27.5

we're all humans. But I've had the, I basically in the past, I've done, you know, such a drastic
