talk and those you know we got some problems so too don't know where we're talking how to solve

sighting i know it's um it's recurring in my house do you guys live close to

each other that's awesome yeah we live about a mile away when i used to be able to run i'd run to her

house as part of my exercise that's so fun yeah well we'll get right into it all i think so much

for coming on we're so excited to chat with you a little bit more.

For our listeners who don't know, you're one of the owners of AFC. And we just love everything

that you guys are doing there. So yeah, we'd love to know more. When we started on this journey

before, you know, we brought in our lead investor in 6th Street when we were, you know, just four founders,

or football founders, and really thinking about what we wanted to bring to the Bay Area. It was,

you know, obviously an incredible business, but a team that that really was able to kind of

unite the community and get a lot of energy and support around the women's game and put out

this, you know, entertaining product. I think, you know, the ability to make the playoffs was

on our radar in the early going when we thought about style of play, building that initial

team, that initial roster. And again, this is before we had any

operators that were that were driving that part of the club. And we had a lot of discussions.

Like how important are results in year one? How important our results in year five? And

and I think we, you know, collectively landed on a place where making the playoffs is, you know, would be icing on the cake.

Let's try to build something that is for this long-term style of play, this long-term vision, something that's going to be sustainable.

And so, you know, I think we've done that initial foundation piece and then being able to get in the playoffs. It's just, it's such a really cool moment in year one. So much work to do. That is, that is the reality. But it's a, it's an incredible moment, I think, for the club, for the players. I mean, they took a lot of risk coming to the Bay, coming to Bay FC.

You don't know what you're going to get out of expansion.

And I think credit goes to the players, you know, had a tough start and have really come together and found a way.
