I hope that it was financially stress-free because you've been saving for Christmas

and all of the holiday spending for the prior 12 months.

I do hope that you had a wonderful time with family and friends and I do hope that you gained perspective

on what is truly most important and it has very little to do with money.

It's unfortunate that money kind of seeps its way into the important things of life and

can frankly mess up the important things.

So when we get our handle on our money, it's not

because we think money is by itself terribly important, but it's because it does

help us in every other aspect of our life. We have less stress, which I think helps me be a better

parent. We converse better, we communicate better with our spouse as it relates to money so we're avoiding

friction and we're having meaningful conversations about what money means for us

what goals we share what goals we have, and how that all can be reconciled within the

constraints of priorities that you lay out.

And money is kind of the currency of priority at the end of the day, so it's important that we
