Hello, hello and welcome to the latest episode of Black Girls Heel. I hope that you're doing well and thriving wherever you are, however you are, and in all of your relationship.

Today we are talking about something that is very important and

something that I feel affects so many of the women that I serve and it is financial codependency.

I want to talk more about it after the job but basically it is a pattern where you have

a coddependent relationship with caretaking for other people financially, even

when it puts you in harm's way, mentally, emotionally, of course financially and causes

undue strain.

And you have a really unhealthy balance

with the ability to say no with this obligated feeling

that you have to be the person that's available

to take care of other people's needs,

otherwise it means something negative about you. And so you actually have an addictive cycle

when it comes to rescuing other people and not taking care of yourself.
