As I speak into issues of biblical sexuality, I get a pretty good picture of the parts of Christian theology that offend us the most.

And the deep pain that's associated with sexual trauma and sin can make it difficult to

understand a loving God in light of his standards for holiness.

You know, unfortunately, a lot of people view Christianity as a loss of freedom and joy,

even though Jesus said that his truth will set

us free and that he came to give us life. Or maybe they see Christians fighting with each other

and they want nothing to do with God. So how do we, as God's people, foster relationships with

one another that show a watching world that God's word in its entirety is more than just

beautiful. It's also believable. That's what I sat down to talk about with Nancy DeMoss-Wogamuth.

So, Nancy, you just told me something that I didn't know about you, and I'm shocked.

Did you say you've never tasted coffee? I said I've never tasted coffee. Can you believe it? I just turned 60. And I figure, if you haven't had it by now, why start? So some people say they don't like it, but you've never tasted it. I've never tasted it. I'm not crazy about the smell, but I'm sure I could acquire a taste for it. And in fact, I married a coffee drinking man. And he sometimes just says, I wish you would just, could drink coffee with me. It's an experience. I don't understand this because it's never been a part of my life. Oh, it is. I have taken a drinking hot tea in the morning. I used to be really just a water drinker.

Wow. But just so I can feel like a grown-up and have something hot in my hand while I'm talking to my husband.
