What you need to have always in raising kids and being in a family, but especially with this text stuff is empathy.

Having that empathy of being there for our kids, being a sounding board, want to be mentoring kids to be thoughtful, kind, and not just

monitoring. We don't want to just be catching our kids using the phone too late at

night or using it in a way that's problematic, but we want to help them figure

out how to do this.

Planning your media experiences, including when you're going to make an exception to your

usual kind of setup, is a way of saying this is a priority for us and that we're kind of in this together but we still need to think about what it looks like. I'm Amy and I'm Abby and as women we are constantly comparing ourselves to others
