| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, Chris Gethen here and welcome to the knowledge and mileage podcast. |
| 0:05.9 | As I'm talking to you right now, I have my arm in a sling. I had surgery last week to |
| 0:12.0 | fix my rotator cuff. Labram had 10 mil shaved off my clavicle as well. So I think I had five scopic points where they had a good look around |
| 0:26.3 | and one insertion on top of that obviously. So it was quite the surgery, which is going to require |
| 0:34.1 | quite the rehab and recovery time to be back at 100%. |
| 0:39.3 | So that's why I decided to speak upon today for this podcast. |

| 1:21.1 | in this specific area. |
| 1:23.8 | So you may or may not know that doctors feed glutamine to burn victims and wound |
| 1:33.4 | victims. So wound could be from a knife attack, for instance, throughout many hospitals, |
| 1:37.9 | specifically through Europe. So obviously going through a trauma, much like we do in a gym |
| 1:43.4 | when we break down muscle tissue, which requires recovery, which will dictate our performance the next day and the day after that, we need adequate glutamine. |
| 1:53.9 | Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. |
| 1:57.5 | It's a non-essential amino acid in healthy individuals and considered a conditionally |
| 2:02.5 | essential amino acid in the metabolically stressed individual. So injury, surgery, wounds, burns, |
| 2:12.5 | trauma that cause an increase uptake and demand for glutamine that exceeds the body's glutamine stores, |
