Well, we first started doing the data analysis and we're like getting these findings.

Pascal was really excited about it and he was like, you don't understand how big this

is. Like you don't understand how big how how big of an impact it's gonna have and I really didn't

to be honest. I was like I was like you know kind of like joking around with and like oh yeah

this is great but in the back of my mind I was like nobody's gonna care and I was wrong.

And so one thing that's been shocking me, I'm not gonna lie to you, they're shocking me.

So the media has been treating this finding which again we did not anticipate to be

negative with you as if we had discount fire okay. Yeah. So I saw it on Reddit before you

David, I saw it on Reddit. Randomly scrolling down down down down. I was like what?

People do care so it was really a lot. People care a lot. It was it was really exciting.

I think with this actually being my first first authored paper this was also you know

not I would say not the norm of the experience. So I said yeah I started while in

Maltese but here's my war and that's great I guess for us but I'd borrow his me David. What

does it mean that this resonates so much with people? Why does this resonate so much with people?

That's the same question both Pascal Walsh and Mary Kowalczyk. Psychologists at NYU asked me

when I reached out to them after seeing their research all over the internet a few weeks back.

Research into the true nature of narcissism and this is incredibly popular research because

if you talk about narcissism on the internet if you talk about psychopathy it's sort of guaranteed

clickbait which was not their intention. In fact they didn't even intend to study narcissism at all

when they started this research. They didn't even know that's what they were researching.
