physical today they don't call them physicals anymore you know

they call them a wellness exam. Yeah that's because the ACA because the ACA will pay for

wellness exams. Is that really true? I honestly yeah and so it's it's required but the question is

how often can you go in for a wellness exam? Are you well once a year or do you need to go in

multiple times? I found this out because we had a terrible health plan last year and I went

to see the doctor and I called and said I'm scheduling this as a wellness visit and they said great

and I saw the doctor and I said we have a terrible insurance plan this has to be a wellness

visit and he said oh I totally understand absolutely then I got a bill for like $300

because we had a terrible plan last year and I called you know sent it through Kaiser which is

both the insurer and the health plan provider right? The health provider and I wrote them and said

this was a wellness visit and they wrote back and said well you're responsible for any services

incurred during a visit no matter what and I said but the doctor even told me what's a wellness

visit. I wanted to make a stink I wrote letters to Kaiser they wound up eventually a signing

a fixer to me at Kaiser and this person addressed all of my wife and my issues because we kept having

issues a nurse made my wife cry on the phone which is rare. My wife is very level headed because

her wife called and the nurse said you have such a terrible health plan it's awful you should be

a shame to be yourself for having such a plan she's like it's what we can afford and I go and they're

like okay that probably shouldn't happen they're like we're gonna have that nurse in for retraining

I'm like look I don't want to get any trouble but really the nurse is probably frustrated also but

like that's the state of health care is your nurses yelling at people for terrible health plans.
