Madison is the host of the Ice cold case podcast, but her podcast

has a very unique edge. The case that she's investigating is that of her father who was murdered

when she was a child. And she's a real inspiration to me and many others. And on the crime

con group, we were all talking about how wonderful you are, Madison.

So I know a lot of people are tuning in just for you. Okay, so let's talk about your,

let's talk about you, little Maddie, little Madison as a little girl. So what was your

what was your home life like growing up and where did you grow up? Yeah, I grew up in West Virginia,

which is a really interesting place because it's pretty low income. It's really white.

And it's not, there's not a lot going on. I mean, it's simple. It's not, it's boring, but in kind of a nice way. There's not a ton of crime. It's just really boring. And, and there's just, you know, blue collar people. It was like, I feel like internationally probably really well known for like the coal mining industry is like our thing um and

that's where i grew up that's sort of at the tail end of coal miners are starting to lose their jobs

they're closing the coal mines and and people are either leaving or they're poor and that's kind of

where i grew up um and a lot of those people are white.

So, um, I, I grew up there with my mom and my grandma. My grandma kind of raised me a little bit

on and off. And, um, yeah, I mean, my mom was around, but she was struggling with drug

addiction. So she was sort of in and out.
