Many of you may receive my weekly Sunday commusing article, where I address a breadth of issues

from the spiritual to the sociopolitical. And on occasion, I will also record an audio

version of these articles and release it here

as a bonus episode. So this week's missive explores neuroplasticity. We don't choose our parents

or the environment, country, or era in which we are born. We don't control causal chains of events that can shape

certain realities, and we have little jurisdiction over randomness. But we are not completely

without agency. The emerging fields of neuroplasticity and epigenetics reveal that our brains

and our genetic expression are not fixed.

We can learn new skills and unwind self-destructive patterns even later in life.

I've been recently geeking out on the Huberman Lab, the podcast from neuroscientist Andrew Huberman.

It turns out that there are many praxis that we can adopt to optimize the creation of new

neural networks, and many of the modalities that we can leverage are part of the commune

library of courses. So today's missive is a summary of how we can promote

neuroplasticity in our quest to better ourselves. And I have been diligently applying
