Hello everyone and welcome back to the Anxiety Chicks podcast. Today you're back for another guided

0:16.6

meditation and I'm so proud of you. Today we're going to be talking about releasing the urge to Google

0:22.6

symptoms. Maybe right now you're feeling some uncomfortable symptom in your body and your brain's

0:28.2

telling you we need to Google this. We need to get to the bottom of it. Let's erase that.

0:34.7

And let's start with a different thought. First I want you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Close your eyes gently. Take a slow breath in your nose and a long, steady exhale through your mouth. Let your body know you're safe in this moment.

0:54.6

Bring to mind the feeling you get when you want to Google a symptom.

0:59.0

Maybe it's tightness in your chest, a relentless mind, or a pressure that says, just check and you'll feel better.

1:34.7

release. I let this urge soften. Breathe in calm. Breathe out the pool to search.

1:45.5

I am present.

1:50.3

I let this urge soften.

1:54.0

Imagine you're standing at the edge of the ocean.

1:58.0

The urge to Google is like a wave rising inside you. Strong, demanding, hard to ignore.

2:07.1

Instead of running from it, you stand steady. You feel the waves swell, and then naturally it begins to fall back into the sea.

2:17.2

No wave lasts forever. No urge lasts forever.

2:22.9

Silently repeat to yourself. I do not need the internet to feel safe. My body is allowed to have

2:32.8

sensations without them being a crisis. This urge is temporary. I choose calm instead of searching. Now, gently bring your attention to your senses. Notice three things you can hear right now. Two things you can feel against your

2:55.9

skin. And one thing you can smell or taste. You are here in this moment, not in the future,

3:06.3

not in the search bar.

3:09.5

Now take one more deep, slow breath in.
